We started as a plant, flower, and gift shop called HortiCulture Design Co. and opened in the middle of the pandemic in June of 2020 in Norfolk, Virginia. Fortunately, people were looking for something happy and positive and plants and flowers were just the thing. We opened a second location in Virginia Beach in January of 2021.
Since opening, we have refined our Botanical Gift Boxes, expanded our floral offerings and tripled the size of our typical plant shipment. In the meantime, we also have slowly added more home decor items, bath and beauty items and more super cool products to our awesome line of gift and apothecary. We have quickly become known as a great place for beautiful things to buy for yourself and as gifts for others.
Our vibe is clean and modern and we're kind of picky about what we carry. All of our products must be well-designed, well-made and well-priced for what they are, with bonus points for gorgeous packaging and being able to support small makers. We know it's the little things that make people happy and we seek high and low to provide you with special things that make everyday life a little bit better.
Horticulture Design Co. is the love child of Becky Cohen, previous owner of floral design studio Roost Flowers and Virginia flower farm Back Bay Flower Co. After 14 years of designing flowers and sharing her obsession with plants and her love of beautifully crafted goods, Becky has combined her passions into the awesomeness that is now HortiCulture Design Co. , your local plant, flower and gift shop.
